Team History

Well, the Blaze was the first Women's full contact football team in the State of Louisiana. We were established in 2001 under the name of the New Orleans Spice and changed ownership in 2003 becoming the New Orleans Blaze. The ownership changed yet again in 2008 and we became a licensed team with the Women's Football Alliance (WFA).
